The Savage Model 72 is a single shot rolling block lever action .22 rifle. It comes with a 21" octagon shaped barrel, case hardening on the receiver, adjustable rear sight, and walnut stock and forearm. A great first gun for a young hunter, also great for the veteran hunter looking to have some fun hunting small game. I've had one since I was 10 years old and I wouldn't sell it for any amount of money. You can't go wrong with this rifle.

The Model 72 that I saw last nite was a drop block or falling block lowered by the use of the under leaver, It was not a rolling block! The unit pictured is obviously not a rolling block.
