
I've never seen hooves like this before. I'm guessing this deer walked around an area that had a very soft ground and prevented his hooves from wearing down or this is founder. I don't think this is a genetic defect. What do you think?

Could either be a mineral deficiency or that the ground in the area where he lives is very soft or sandy which is what I would think is the case here.James Harold Patterson
As I wrote earlier I started processing deer in 1983 and we normally process up to a 1000 head a year and I have never seen this .John Jackson
