Great striper. How much did he weigh? Looks like at least 40 lbs.
Down in Georgia the stripers run up the Altamaha, Savannah, Oconee and Okmulgee rivers to spawn around May each year. A guy in my hometown caught a state record 63 lb striper in 1967. The fish was probably 150 miles from the ocean.
A 17 year old just caught a 66 lb. landlocked striper in a mountain lake in north Georgia to break the record.
