I hit this one on the run at 133 yards with 9.3 Mauser. I switched rifles to my BLR .35 Whelen and with the help of my good friends tracked it into a scrub oak/briar thicket. We bumped it out of a bed and it tried to charge us at 10 feet!!! A snap shot from the Whelen turned the charge but I hit a 1 inch branch and 3 1/2 inch tree, cutting both down. Once the guys and I dodged the falling tree we jumped back on the trail and caught the bull bedded down about 50 yards farther in the tree line. A 200 grain TSX to the neck and it was all she wrote. After getting charged by this beast at 10 feet I know understand why people get addicted to dangerous game hunting!
