In 2009 I was blessed to be able to hunt the 25,000 acre Teacup Mountain Ranch just outside Crowell, Texas. I saw more deer there in three days of hunting than I have ever seen in all my years of hunting whitetails. I passed up numerous smaller bucks during the hunt and was fortunate to be able to see a buck that my guide later estimated would've scored 180-190 B&C points. I took a shot at that buck but unfortunately missed. I was heartbroken and really felt I had blown my only chance at getting a buck on this hunt. With just 30 minutes left in my hunt and light fading fast, the buck in this picture stepped out at 40 yards and offered me the perfect broadside shot. One shot from my .243 Remington and he was on the ground. He is a beautifully symmetrical buck that gross scores 150 0/8 B&C and nets 146 6/8 after side to side deductions.

Great symmetry on him. I would love to see one like this in the fall.

Thanks Eric it was a great hunt on 25,000 non-fenced acres. I saw more deer in 3 days than I see in a whole season back home. Thanks Brandon yes he was very symmetrical I'm very blessed to have gotten him.

Thanks Paul. He was a nice one for sure and he looks real nice on the wall. I'm hoping to top him this season, Lord willing.
