Took a trip to Montana for elk and mule deer and ended up coming back with this muley. We spotted this buck bedded out in a prairie at the base of the mountains along with 30 some other bucks and doe. We snuck in as close as we could get and I had to wait for him to clear the group and then took a 375 yard shot with a 25 mph cross wind to put him down. Thanks to the guide here as he adjusted my point of aim and was actually the first time I ever aimed at open space to hit the animal. But 12 inches off the chest for wind correction and the bullet hit home putting him down less than 50 yards from where he was originally standing. I would love to go back.
