This is the very first deer i stalked (came up to 200 yards or less from him), shot, killed and gutted....all by myself with the only help of hauling him down the mountain. This deer was atleast 2 miles away from my truck downhill. i was about 4 miles away from my friends, who were crashed on the side of the mountain (they had very little experience with hunting) i saw a bunch of trees and saw this bush that looked like a buck, so i sat there and waited for it to move, while a real buck walked right in front of it. i called my dad and asked for advice, for he was at work. I hiked 2 miles up and around the canyons to get to him and i bellied crawled, the wind was perfect, he had no idea i was there, then i shot him in the heart and spleen and he feel like a ton of bricks. Yes, he is small but i did the best sneak i have ever done. im proud of myself, i dont care if he is small sure as hell taste good
