Here i was on the last weekend of rifle season of 2011 lying on a hill waiting for my buck to step out.
It was about 15 degrees out and the wind was out of the north. I was expecting the deer to funel out of some trees to feed in the harvested corn field and right before sun down three does came out with this buck chasing a hot doe! So i layed my gun on some barbed wire fence for a rest and sqeezed the trigger. He was about 250 yards out,He went down in one shot with my 30-06 Savage.
