Seen one this color several years calmly eating grass alongside I30 in Arkansas at the Hot spring/Saline county line. Till I got close thought it was a dog, then a cow then I saw it was a deer
now that looks cool ! last year i shot my first piebald and i tanned the hide it turn out great, did most of the work my self then sent too tannery it tuck 8 months too get it back but its hanging on my wall !!!!!!!!!!
I've only ever seen one melanistic deer...a gorgeous buck hanging in a tree in VT many years ago. This one is beautiful! I'd take it at the first clean opportunity, and I agree it would make a fantastic full mount!!
