Red deer hind shot on the 19th of May just before dusk. shot from a hide at 97m with a 14.5" barrelled AR15 using a .224 60gr Nosler Ballistic tip. Hit in lungs she managed to jump into the scrub and got 30m. Took me 90 minutes in the dark to find her in there. she measured 112cm high at the shoulder and 2.2m long from tail base to nose along the spine dressed weight about 60kg head removed.
