From the looks of it, it was a hard quartering away shot. Even though it looks bad it most likely took out the liver, which usually equates to good blood. It's far from ideal but it definitely got the job done. Congrats on a fine buck.
good buck if it was a lower poundage bow it wouldnt have enough knock down power to go through the fatty part then you would have a wounded deer on your hands
You know that If you have one shot at It specially with a large buck like this you will take it, this might of been the only angle the person was able to take a shot in, It looks bad I agree but If this was is only shot well Kudo's to this guy, well deserved Buck.
Well I hope his genetics got spread around in time before his coup de gras...beautiful animal...rregardless of the shot angle,you got him and thats all that matters...
