Me and my dad were driving up the road pretty close to the end of the 2010 session and we decided to scope out a hill that we would look at every day going up to hunt. I grab our leopold spotting scope and start scanning the ridge line and see this nice 3x3 about 350 yards from were I would later shoot him. My dad kindly begins up the hill on the back side of the ridge while I set up to prepare for a shot with his 30-06. As I watch the deer through the scope my dad gets steadily closer the the buck. Just as my father gets about 50 yards from the buck he stands up and looks right at my dad. Just as he stands up I squeeze the trigger BANG!! The next thing i see is four feet rolling down hill in a fit of a excitement throw my hands up and scream out some profanity along the lines of @#%! Yeah!!! as my dad makes it to the crest of the hill. After packing up my gear and high tailing it up the hill reaching the deer I realize I shot him in the nose. As he spits out chunks of blood drowning on his own blood my dad leans down with a knee on his neck cuts his throat followed by a high five and another needed @#%! Yeah!!
