This is NOT a mule deer. Its most definitely a whitetail judging by the coloration of the face and body, the size of the ears, the antlers, and the fact that it has a white tail. Mule deer do have tails but they are not this big. Also the butt on this deer is brown and a mule deer has a white butt. So this is a whitetail no doubt. Oh and I doubt it weighs 412 pounds.
the biggest dressed mule deer weighed 410 dressed so dont say they dont get that big. ive seen does on the mountain the size a yearling elk. the heaviest dressed whitetail is only 402. therefore alive the whitetail only weighed around 515 and the muley weighed around 523
Wow, oddest looking muley Ive ever seen. Has all the facial markings, antler structure, and body of a whitetail...not to mention THE WHITE TAIL!! Hope its not tagged w a mule deer tag?
lol i didnt even see the guy above me sayin they didnt have tails ,, i was really hopin there was nobody gonna argue with me over that being a whitetail , sounds like were all on the right track they aint gonna pull a fast one on us ,, this picture was uploader error
Michael Quintana is correct in his info. This is a whitetail from Pennsylvania. The story was in a magazine about 10 yrs ago and the ending was that the hunter jumped the buck and it tried to swim a river. When the hunter got to the buck, he killed the engine on the boat (to be within the law) and took the final fatal shot with his bow. The article didn't proclaim a live weight, but the hunter said "field dressed, the buck bottomed out a 350 lb scale."!!! Huge bodied animal regardless!
where did muley come from in the first place they said nothing about it in the first place. all i can say is it looks like they put an arrow in its guts
