My Dad and I decide to go hunt some whitetail instead of mule deer. So we go sit at the edge of the alfalfa field to see if any deer come out. We had a spike and a yearling doe come out first. I didn't want to ruin my chances early because i know there've been some nice bucks in there. So we're waiting for some more deer to come out. No more come out. This was odd. We came to the conclusion that we needed to just pack up and go try our hands at some muleys before the sun went down. But right when i was getting up, this huge buck just flies out from in front of me! I didn't even know he was there! I quickly mounted my rifle. the buck stopped broadside to me and i took a shot! BAM! The deer didn't move. BAM! I missed again! I racked another round. BAM! The deer just walks off like nothing ever happened. I was frustrated and mad. I reloaded my 30-06 with 3 more rounds and my Dad came up with a solution to our problem. He would go into the brush to run the deer outta there to me. I honestly didn't think it would work. But low and behold, these deer come chargin' outta the brush on a dead run. Headed straight for me. I pull up, the biggest doe I saw stopped, and I pulled the trigger. It was over faster than you could piss. My first deer that my new gun actually got. so now my rifles broke in!
