i've been interested for a few years now about introducing kids to hunting. the only thing holding me back was my ex-wife as she believed all of my time should be spent with her. Now that she is out of the picture(i wont get in to that. lol) i would like to make that dream come true. My father died when i was only four so my grandfather stepped up and filled his shoes. He introduced me to the outdoors at a very young age and hunting and fishing has been a passion of mine ever since. I believe it gives kids something better to do instead of drugs or violence. When i was in school all i thought about was hunting or fishing. As soon as i got off the schol bus i was headed to the field. Who knows what kind of trouble i would have gotten into otherwise. I live in Nashville Indiana and was wondering if there are any parents close by with a child interested in hunting who doesnt have the time or maybe just not the interest in taking them. i am a self employed contractor so i cant devote all my time and i have two young girls to take care of but they go to their mothers every other weekend but any of my free time i would be happy to take a kid hunting. i get more pleasure now seeing the smile on others faces when they harvest a deer or turkey or catch a big fish. my main goal is working with special needs/handicap kids but i would be more then happy to take any interested kid hunting. Eventually i would like to create a local non-profit organization to get more kids involved in experiencing all that nature has to offer. With kids of my own i understand you cant be too careful these days so parents would be welcome to tag along and i have no problem to a background check.
