My mom lost a fish in the 150lb range after a sea turtle surfaced and the braid ran across his shell. Pretty odd way to lose one.

That's a bummer. I know how it goes. I've lost fish to every anomaly out there including a pesky sea turtle. When chumming on a reef, I'll sometimes get one or two sea turtles that will come up and start biting at my chum bag, relentlessly. I've moved about a half mile to get away from turtle, only to have him find his way to our second spot. I once had a nice grouper or snapper on and turtle darted into the line and poped it.
