I've been shooting too high on the shoulder for 40 years. Bass Pro has a cool Archer's Choice Real World target that has the vital area exposed. The section is also replaceable.

but heres the question do you go for double lung or heart shots?

I used to take double lung shots but out past 30 yards a deer may be able to duck your arrow if they hear the string.

I aim for heart but usually get double lungs do to the drop they do!
