Check out this link on 3 hunting shows being cancelled on Canadian public television despite good ratings. The Vancouver Humane Society launched a protest and weeks later the show was cancelled. I believe they're still available on Wild TV in Canada but the fact that a vocal minority has this sort of power is frustrating.
