In 1961 Buck Ashe only hunted with a re-curve. Because he was the rare bow hunter back then,friends nicknamed him Stickman. He had a rifle instead of a bow the day he encountered the biggest buck in GA history. Over 300lb. BC 191 4/8

that was the only deer he ever killed with a rifle , he killed every other deer with a recurve bow and he killed the deer in monroe county and was 6-7 feet in a dogwood tree in a hardwood bottom , the deer was scored until the early 1990s ..great story in the GON !!!!
