Why do idiots shoot at ducks and geese at 100+yards when shooting public areas?

Was out shooting a nice little hotspot of mine when some guys showed up and started blasting at birds that were all reaches, and the birds they did knock down were injured and fell between 100-400 yards in a thick marsh (no chance they are finding those birds they didn't have a dog). I'm finding this is happening more and more and I like to bring the birds in and actually make my shots count. I can't say anything to them because it is pubic land but it also ruined many of our opportunities.
So bird hunters, a message to you, THINK BEFORE YOU SHOOT! You'll come home with more birds and more unused shells.

I hear ya. They do the same thing on dove fields.

I agree 1000% with you me and my dad hunt public land and assholes shoot at them sky high and if the ducks are locked up on you they shoot just to scare them off! But that's why we walk out of there with the most ducks every time.

Down in Colorado i have a few hidden gems but some people think there shooting long range rifles, a personal rule of ethics is only take the ducks coming in to land, it keeps the ducks from starting bad habits.

Hate it. We found five ducks out in the brush that these people shot and couldn't retrieve. I was just scoping it out like I do each season. And I had howie with me, he ran off and came back with one bird after another. That was the third time that week. What they did manage to shot, they lost. And well for the birds well, they tasted good anyways.

They are trying to help the economy by keeping the shotgun shell manufacturers in business.

I think it may be very convenient. You can easily compare prices in different countries and find your dream hunting. Your opinion is highly needed!
