them dang cats are just flat out scary to me! Look at the muscles in that thing, now that I hunt were they are at I am constantly watching over my shoulder,,,
i agree ryan,this weekend i am tracking (without dogs)a mother cougar who is getting too used to people around yankton,sd..dnr wants me to see if i can locate her den and get pics..had about 10 run ins with her already,8 feet the closest,going to bring a knife with and baseball bat to be on the safe side,want to get her tanquilized with her cubs ,deer hunting is around the corner afraid someone will get hurt..spring flooding brought her her,but she has stayed all summer which is a first in sd..
ill take the cat ...there awesome preditors and ifen ya never seen one in action i would believe most of u wold bee rooting for the deer ...david i wish ya lick with ur bat but u do know there an ambush preditore dont ya...so i say ifen ya aint got know one to watch ur back with a tranq gun well u best grow eyes in the back of ur head and turn the volume all they way up on a set of game ears ..like i say i wish ya all the best of luck it will be an amazing advinture for sure wish i could be there to lend a hand with the capturing and relocating of her and her cubs she is only doing her role and protecting her cubs and such and she will do so at all cost
great pic amazing the trail cam got it at the right time! Good luck to everyone hunting in cat populated areas, I couldn't imagine competing with those creatures. So far SE Wisco is pretty safe lol.
i would have to say the cat they have more agility and all it would take is one wrong turn of the deer. also the cougar is faster it could close that gap in no time
