I'm dying for it, especailly because if you look at my game camera "Ten Four over" that is the buck I plan to get this year, he's had a good long life and breeding time in our herd. So I think it is about time to take him out and let another buck have a chance.
i hear ya on that one bud. someone stole my game camera. cause normally im the only one to hunt on the land but i guess someone else was out there. whatever i got pleny more. imma go take a look at this ten four over that your talkin bout
That buck, Ten-Four, was snacking on our corn last night, during the full moon. He is a very impressive buck, he was not but fifteen yards from my window. I wish it was deer season right now I tell you.
And the cherry on top is that my uncle, who owns a taxidermy shop, bet that I wouldn't get him this year. So he said to me, "If you get this Ten-Four during any of the seasons, I'll chest mount him for you for free. Gonna be so easy. He falls for all the smells and calls. And I have been tracking him for four years now, I know where he feeds, where he sleeps, where he drinks. He is so mine. Can't wait.
Yup. If I can't get him during the first bow season, then I'll at least know where he is. And if I can't get him during Muzzle loader, then I can always try the second bow, which is right after muzzle loader. We have apple trees on our farm, that he hangs out around alot, I have some sheds from him from previous years. He'll make a fine mount, and a nice first buck. And I even am going to get into a couple of deer poles. My family, around 250 of us, usually do a big family one, my cousin Rick won it last year with an eight pointer. Well he says he'll win it again because he has another eight pointer over there. I haven't let a single one of them know about Ten-Four. Last year I won for first biggest deer in youth, I got a 108lb. doe, my cousin was peeved, he got a four pointer, but the deer only weighed 95lbs. And I got mine on the first day. Upon which my family gave my brother so much crap, because he got out shined in hunting by his younger sister. I missed a ten pointer earlier that day though it was my first hunt, and what do ya know, I got buck fever. By the time I cooled down to take the shot he was behind a tree. But this year, Ten-Four is in the bag. We got a whole heard of does, and he won't pass up the chance to breed them. And he is big on being territorial.
