i am from scotland uk and a very experienced waterfowl hunter doing some guideing,i am planning a holiday taking in some geese, duck and turkey hunting which state and what mont would be best to do this
This is a tough question to answer. Your best bet for hunting all three species would probably be Maryland or Delaware. The eastern shore provides incredible waterfowl hunting. Texas is another state that would provide a great opportunity for all three. These states probably have a fall turkey season that probably overlaps with their waterfowl seasons at some point, likely in late October or November. You should check out their hunting seasons and regulations and book your trip accordingly.
I agree with Zack. Tennessee has amazing Spring Turkey Hunting and the Fall season is great. For Duck Hunting, Maryland and Arkansas are my favorite places. I have had a great hunting adventure in Florida also, however.
A water fowl hunting jewel of Florida is Lake Okeechobee located in south central Florida. Look at any map and you can't miss it. Below I put a few websites that you can look at for information about Okeechobee hunting. We would duck hunt from float tubes via air boats in the mornings and then wade fish for large mouth bass in the afternoons. It was quite an adventure, shooting ducks in the morning and fighting 6 pound large mouth in the afternoon.
I don't recall seeing any geese in Florida though. We would hunt Geese in Arkansas and West Tennessee
