Looking for a bow after shoulder surgery.
I injured my shoulder years ago in a car accident. I wasn't able to draw a bow without pain for years but I recently had the shoulder completely repaired. Much of the strength has returned and now I'm looking for a bow. It's been a while since I've bow hunted and I'm pretty confused. I don't want to drop a lot of money but I'd like to find one that's suited for me so I can be ready for the bow season. Any ideas?

I would go too your local archery shop, find a few bows in your price range, and ask to test shoot them. Find the one that feels the best for you. Everyone here has their own preference as to brand, but to be honest, they are all damn good. As long as you practice with it and get proficient any bow will work just fine.Ryan Kulinski

woodrow you would qualify for a crossbow because of your disability(shoulder) check into it with the local dnr ..goodluckWoodrow W
Hey David. It's funny. I'll hunt with a gun but my pride won't let me use a crossbow.Derek Taussig
I am a pretty big fan of Bears latest lines of compounds. I feel like I am shooting a $1000 bow for half the price!Rick Rinehart
wow all good comments! Quinn is right. Fit and feel is more important than brand. See what feels best for you . be safe, but I line it up and close my eyes at a safe range and see how it feels and how good the shot was eyes closed. Best way to sense the feel. Good technology out there and 355 fps doesnt matter if your shot is off. Its shot placement mainly. Also if you are hunting whitetails no need to pull too much weight. You can kill deer at 35-40 lb draw. My nine year old son pulls 35lbs and can kill deer. I pull slightly over 60 and I killed a 500 lb bear. You dont have to pull 70 lbs to kill most north american game. If it still hurts get a crossbow. thats what i would do. good luck.
