how do you guys/girls do euro mounts at home? i know about boiling but that still leaves residue and i have lost parts of skulls because of it. any suggestions?
You never want to boil out a head. The key word is simmer. While simmering add some Arm & Hammer Washing Soda to the water. Periodically remove the skull and remove the meat as it begins to become loose on the skull from the action of simmering. Do this until your all done. Once done place entire skull into a tub of hot soapy water and use compressed air to boil out skull. dawn dish soap works good for this. After your all done allow to dry out. Simmer outside using a propane tank hooked up to a burner.

bury the skull in your yard for a few months and the insects will take care of all meat and fur. You also wont have the residue left behind.
