Has anybody had to have a disc replacement and fusion in their lower back?
I am about to go under the knife to have a disc replacement and a fusion in my lower back. I am wondering if anyone else has had this done, and how long your recovery was before you could hunt both with a rifle and also with a bow? Im afraid I am going to loose this entire season in NY.

Had a good friend have a cervical fusion in his neck. It took him a year to recover but his archery has not faltered since. Only adverse effect is his ability to turn his head so much. He has to turn his shoulders a bit now.Mike Diggs
I've had L5-s1 fused, I still hunt, though have trouble sitting as still as I used to in a stand. My ex has had 10 back sugeries(she has lupus and addicted to pain pills) To fully recover takes about 2 months but can do normal stuff after 4 weeks or so just hafta be carefulTodd Quinn
Thanks mike that is where my fusion is going to be, and a replacement at L4-L5, Im hoping to be able to get a little hunting in this year.Trevor Ritchie
Yeah I had the L5 fused about 10 years ago , it would be a bad one if you miss the whole season
