food in the field

Curious as to what other hunters take into the field to keep them going through a long day.sandwiches? Energy bars or drinks?

First I have to admit that I have a cajun/redneck side. When I'm fishing, it's saltine crackers, spam (or sardines) and hot sauce. When I'm hunting it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The smell doesn't seem to offend anyone, man or animal, and may even attract some.

It depends on the day, but I normally have at least 3-4 sandwhiches, trail mix, and my favorite type of tastykake or hostess snack. I also make sure to take plenty of water to stay hydrated. For an all day sit, you'd be super surprised at how hungry you get. I make sure to pack the trail mix and cupcakes in ziplok baggies. Plastic wrappers can be very noisy.

I take an apple, 'cause while i'm eating it, the smell and the noise of the crunch will actually bring in deer. But i don't usually stay around the whole day, i try out one spot, and that's when I'll eat the apple, then head home if no luck eat lunch, then head out to a different spot. But apples work great, you feed yourself, and healthy to, and you get an instant deer attractant, and no one can complain to you about it because you are eating it, not feeding it to the animals.

Took some dried fruit, trail mix bars, mixed nuts and water. Kept me going all day, right up to when I got my doe!

I am all about warmth on stand... Highest quality Whey protein for breakfast and quality snacks thorough out the day keep your cravings down and your energy up. Meal replacement bar for lunch. Stay hydrated. What freezes faster a drop of water or a glass of water?

I think it may be very convenient. You can easily compare prices in different countries and find your dream hunting. Your opinion is highly needed!
